Weber State University Teacher Education Program

The Teacher Education Department is an Accreditation candidate through the Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC), with review in November 2014. All of our programs are designed to prepare pre-service elementary, secondary, and special education teachers to meet the Utah Effective Teaching Standards (UETS) . Upon completion of our programs, students will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to be effective and successful entry-level teachers.

Our dedicated and diverse faculty and staff are here to help you achieve your goals. We have extensive experience working in the public school system, and we have structured our courses and field experiences to provide you with the knowledge and skills to become an effective teacher.

WSU Storytelling Festival and Events

“Once upon a time…” is alive and well at the Weber State University Story Telling Festival, a delightful, once-a-year event that you won’t want to miss! Held the last weekend in February, there is something for everyone, preschool to senior citizen, college students to families with children of all ages. The storytellers will capture your hearts and create an unforgettable experience in literacy, culture, and the arts!
