WSU students enrolled in the Artsbridge Honors Course (Fall 2019), will create a new faux-stained glass installation called Utah Birds & Ecosystems to be hung at James Madison Elementary School. During this course students will work closely with BTSALP Visual Arts Specialist Brent Rhodes and his 4th graders at James Madison to co-create a hanging installation. Students will visit the Ogden Nature Center to learn more about Utah’s birds and ecosystems and work closely with local artists to inform their creative process.
The course will culminate in an unveiling of the Utah Birds & Ecosystems faux-stained glass installation and a short documentary on the creative process on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 5:00-6:30pm at James Madison Elementary School!! This event is open to the public (please see flyer below).

During the Spring 2018 semester, WSU hosted ArtsBridge: Murals (HNRS 1530) Engaging Community through Moveable Murals with WSU faculty Tamara Goldbogen and K Stevenson along with community partners Amir Jackson, Nurture the Creative Mind and lead artist Erinne Roundy.
This class provided students with an experiential learning opportunity to create and implement a service-learning project—designed through the lens of an art form—with community organizations and resulted in a Moveable Mural, which travels around Ogden.
