About

The Weber State University Annual Arts Integration Conference is a full day conference with hands-on arts integrated workshops in dance, drama, music, and visual arts that explore the theme of Community and Art, and address Utah Core Standards. Geared towards grades K-6, this conference attracts ~150 teachers annually interested in arts education and arts integration. The Share Fair serves an important function at the WSU Arts Learning Collaborative’s Annual Arts Integration Conference as it allows classroom teachers, art educators, and administrators the opportunity to recognize, learn about, and connect with organizations across the state of Utah that provide art experiences for students and teachers. Twenty-five (25) tables are set up and participants walk freely around and look at the different art education offerings and demonstrations.

The WSU Arts Learning Collaborative is a joint effort between the Telitha E. Lindquist College of Arts & Humanities and the Jerry & Vickie Moyes College of Education that is dedicated to arts education at Weber State University. Through advocacy, research, partnerships, and professional development, the Arts Learning Collaborative provides resources and support for arts education throughout Utah as well as a year-round professional learning and supports the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Arts Learning Program–a statewide K-6 arts integration program.

Suggested Materials

We encourage vendors to bring information about offerings in regards to student workshops and teacher professional development. It is encouraged for the organization to bring examples of products created, opportunities for teachers/administrators to sign-up for an experience, and/or materials for participants to join a contact list. Hands-on activities are very popular and a great way to attract teachers to your table at the Share Fair, but this are not required. Hands-on presentations can also be a “teaser” for what the organization can provide for their student or teacher workshops, and are encouraged if possible.
