REGISTER: https://tannerdance.utah.edu/programs/professional-development-training/ Come explore the excitement of dance, visual arts, drama and music as well as the integration of the arts into academic curriculum. Workshop Includes: Instruction on teaching dance, visual art, music, and drama in a K-6 setting. Lesson plans that integrate the arts into math, science, language arts, and social studies curriculum. Opportunities to observe Tanner Dance teachers working with students through classes and summer camps. Children’s literature is used as springboards for instruction and lesson plans. Workshop faculty includes seasoned Tanner Dance faculty members who have extensive experience working in the schools. The workshop includes a one-day retreat to a beautiful cabin in Weber Canyon. Transportation and meals are provided on this day. 38.00 relicensure hours, 2.50 USOE credits and University of Utah credit are available. Participants may attend an optional Children’s Dance Theatre performance at Sandy Amphitheater on Tuesday, June 20 at 8:00 pm. Tuition scholarships are provided for the first 25 registrants thanks to the Arts Works for Kids Foundation. Once all scholarships are reserved, tuition is $250.
