Curriculum to Performance Workshops 2019
Along with the Utah State Board of Education, the Tanner Dance Program offers the Infinity Model Workshop, which is an event to prepare teachers and their students to attend the Children’s Dance Theatre (CDT) spring concert, a fully-produced annual performance at the Capitol Theatre. Workshop participants will be prepared to use lesson plans provided by Tanner Dance faculty based on the CDT performance work. Participants will explore movement lesson plans and ideas as they work together to integrate dance and other art forms into the classroom setting. The first workshop will allow participants to explore lesson plans and ideas as they work together to integrate dance and visual art into the classroom setting. In the second workshop, teachers come together for colleague collaboration to discuss in-class implementation and learn about different elements of the performance, including costume design, musical composition, and choreography.

1721 Campus Center Drive, Salt Lake City
